What would you do if your boss asked you to throw together a band to play in front of 1,600 of your fellow employees? If you’re drummer Dave Monic, you would call in a favor from two other employees who know their way around a guitar, discuss the merits of rock-n-roll with your Cajun bass-playing friend, pull your 15-year-old son (an accomplished guitarist and saxophone player himself) out of school, and then proceed to rock the house at the company conference.
Several requests for repeat performances later, the guys realized they were definitely on to something. Since then, the Long Neck Society has been serving up their own funky brew–covering everything from the Doobie Brothers to Stevie Ray Vaughan. And you’ll be shakin’ some tail and singing along as the Society takes you through rock-n-roll all the way to zydeco!
The Long Neck Society is Dave Monic (drums), Dennis Pennington (guitar), John Nugent (guitar), Bill Grass (bass), and Dane Monic (guitar and sax).
Check out the Long Neck Society and see what the buzz is all about.
