The Way Goners

Friday 3 August 2007

The Way Goners is the new name for the old Honky Tonk Disciples:

The Way Goners is a band from Louisiana that falls in between the boundaries of traditionally influenced country music spawned by Buck Owens and Hank Williams Sr., to the hard drinking and hard living musical era of Gram Parsons and the Rolling Stones.
Aching for the time when pure country music poured from the dance halls and juke joints of the south, The Way Goners deliver roots music with an aggressive edge that pulls no punches. Their grooves range from smooth country waltzes reeking of heartache and pain pills, to rocking boogies that make you wanna dance and drink.
So come to a show, kick off your shoes and throw em’ in the corner. Bring plenty of cigarettes, leave your troubles at home and get ready for some real honky tonkin.
